It is old news that re-allocation of the wealth has been upward for the better part of the last 40 years. “Tax relief” for the wealthy has been a hallmark of various presidential administrations.
There is no argument that the wealthy do pay a lot of taxes but economists have demonstrated that individuals in lower socio-economic status pay a much larger share of their annual income in the way of payroll, local and sales taxes.
